Teaching

I had such an incredible experience in this [COM 3444: Interviewing @ Villanova] course and will take so much from what we learned with me as I enter the workforce. I would advise anyone to take this course.

The material we learn and the structure Dr. Costantini makes for a great format for such an impactful course. I think that students coming into this class in the future should really take advantage of all the resources that Dr. Costantini provides for her students.

Students can get so much out of this course. I learned not only the content of the interview, but also different ways in which I can use this knowledge to help me in the real world. I would recommend taking advantage of class time by being involved with class discussions and putting a lot of effort into each assignment.

“Dr. C is one of the most attentive and accommodating professors I have had at Villanova. She displays a great deal of consistency in her interactions with students and always makes herself available to discuss individual needs.”

Thank you so much for your kind words, and your dedication to our course. It was definitely challenging to simplify all the information I had for both the informative speech and the persuasive speech. Again, thanks for your suggestions on how to improve my work.

“I would just like to express how much I appreciated the course CO 101. Throughout this whole semester, this course was a breath of fresh air and kept me afloat when I was struggling with the weight of Anatomy & Physiology and Biochemistry. I truly appreciate the consistent course structure, the mini extra credit opportunities, all the syllabus updates, the work on your own days, and the Friday Zoom sessions. It was a pleasure to learn so much from such a passionate professor, and I appreciate all the concern that went into our success in your class.”

Dr. Costantini was an excellent teacher. Her polling questions in Zoom classes kept me engaged and her PowerPoints were nice summaries of the readings. She also made herself available for any meetings if needed. Additionally, you can tell that she cares for us and keeps us updated. Thank you, Dr. Costantini!

“Dr. Costantini is an absolutely wonderful professor. Not only does she teach material effectively, but she also is passionate about what she is teaching. This projected passion makes me more interested in the material being taught because it shows that the professor truly cares. Dr. Costantini is very prompt with emails and is extremely helpful when utilizing her office hours. Overall, this course has been the most engaging one I had all semester and has been one of the main factors getting me through the semester. I think I can speak for many students when I say that Dr. Costantini was a much needed breath of fresh air during this trying semester.”

Thank you so much for all you have done for us as well as for me this semester. You have always helped me so much and I appreciate that you took time out of your day to work with me. Thank you again for everything. I enjoyed being part of your class.

“Dr. Costantini was one of the most efficient professors I have taken class with this semester. The assignments were very encouraging and useful. The activities done in class were really great for student engagement and learning. I believe this professor is excellent at what she does and and I hope to see more professors like her throughout my future years here in the University.”

Professor Costantini’s greatest strengths would be her willingness to help students and ensure that everyone in the class understands the material even if they need to be helped on the side or via email. It was never a worry of mine to reach out to Professor Costantini for help.

“Dr. C's greatest strength is her awareness. She is able to recognize when a concept falls upon deaf ears, and she will always take the time to explain further if she sees certain students are struggling.”

Dr. Costantini is an amazing professor. She cared about every single person in my class and showed it. In addition, she was always available for office hours, and she able to be flexible with others who couldn’t make her office hours. Overall, Dr. Costantini made CO 101 very enjoyable and she is an understanding and compassionate professor.

“Dr. Costantini is the best instructor I have met. She is so sweet and understanding, she was always available if someone had questions and provided so many resources so the material can stick. I have enjoyed this course and actually learned so much from it.”

Thank you for being one of the very few professors who genuinely care about the well-being of students and use effective techniques to teach students content.

“Rebecca was wonderful—always had an optimistic, caring, and helpful attitude. The students wanted to learn from her and please her because her care for us was very apparent. I really appreciated my instructor. She was always willing to give help when needed and was very clear about her office hours. She did a great job and helped me to enjoy public speaking.”

Thank you for all your amazing contributions to Intro to Communication this semester. I can speak for the class when saying that you have been such a great teacher and have always been so understanding and supportive of us as students.

“We loved her! She was very engaging in her teaching and really cared about us as people. I learned how to negotiate well in this class, and feel like it well help me in the future. I liked this class a lot. She always was extremely helpful and returned grades very quickly. She was great.”

Dr. Costantini was very clear and I loved how she started and ended each class with the course schedule. She made sure we knew exactly what was expected of us. Not only was she structured, but she was kind and outgoing. I was really dreading taking this class but Dr. Costantini was so passionate and kind that I actually enjoyed it in the end. A professor can really make or break the course! I am very thankful I had her as an instructor.

“I really liked Dr. Costantini. Even though this class was just a requirement, I actively enjoyed it because of the professor. She was very understanding of students and was really passionate about her course. One of my favorite professors this semester.”

Dr. Costantini graciously offered to review each and every student’s résumés. I was fortunate and appreciative to have my résumé revised by Dr. Costantini the first week of class. Dr. Costantini fostered a classroom environment that bolstered preparation for life outside the classroom. Each individual is walking away from the course better knowing how to properly apply, prepare, interview and get a job.

“I can honestly say that Dr. Costantini’s course has been one of the most impactful and relevant in my years of school. I catch myself being mindful of my word choice, tone, and body language in all forms of communication. Dr. Costantini has helped teach me so much in being a better communicator. I can apply those skills now and moving forward in all aspects of my life. I haven’t said it enough, but THANK YOU SO MUCH. It was a pleasure taking part in your classroom.”

Doctor Costantini is extremely understanding and engages in meaningful conversations with her students; her class was fun and informative; her class also supplied me with a wealth of knowledge to carry with me throughout my professional work.

“Dr. Costantini was by far my favorite professor during this semester. In regards to the class, she is a very good instructor and keeps the directions for assignments very clear. She also would provide a weekly agenda for us every single week to make sure everyone was on the same page. Dr. Costantini was also very understanding and communicated with students well. When she noticed that students had very busy exam weeks, sometimes she would alter the assignments to relieve as much stress as she could. I also liked how she respected everyone's opinions regarding the COVID-19 pandemic and virtual learning - she started the semester off with a survey asking about this. Overall, I loved Dr. Costantini and what she focused her class on, and I genuinely believe that I learned a lot from her that I can actually use and apply to my career in the future unlike a lot of courses.”

Dr. Costantini was an extremely passionate professor who was concerned with every student’s success. It was apparent the amount of effort and dedication she put into creating lectures and assignments, which paid off in my learning of the course material.

“Overall, I loved learning from Rebecca! She was enthusiastic about the material she was teaching and really cared about her students’ success in her class. She was very approachable and willing to help in any way possible. I would take a class with her again in the future.”

Professor Costantini made attending class feel worthwhile. She is well educated in the course she teaches and brings an exciting perspective to the content. She is one of my favorite instructors.

“Dr. Costantini offered interesting ways to learn and comprehend material which differed from other professors I have previously. I loved the team teach concept and really got a lot out of.”

Dr. C is an amazing professor. I felt like I could talk to her about anything. She always answered my million questions, even if it was at night, and responded to my emails within a few minutes. She explains everything really well for comprehension. She is patient and really understands us students, and understands our mental health. She is very accommodating as well.

“I really enjoyed Organizational Comm with Rebecca Costantini and would for sure take another class with her. She was so enthusiastic about the subject and always have a clear understanding of everything in her lectures. She made the class entertaining and hands on which has helped a lot with my ADD because I learn better this way. I think she is amazing and passionate about what she does!”
